Quintessential hip-hop legend, Snoop Dogg, has hinted at the first major release for his revamped NFT centric Death Row records. According to the man himself, the showstopping drop may feature Dr Dre’s classic rap anthem, ‘Nuthin’ But a G Thang’.
Following his purchase of Death Row Records, Mr Dogg was quick to re-brand as an NFT music company. Therefore, making clear his intention to release all future material as non-fungible tokens. In addition, following the announcement, a number of high-profile properties owned by the company disappeared from popular steaming services, all of which are expected to make a triumphant return via the upgraded record company.
One such title notable for its absence is Dr Dre’s debut album, The Chronic. Of which, ‘Nuthin But a G Thang’ was the lead single release that subsequently reached the heady heights of No2 on the Billboard charts. This new non-fungible endeavour on which Mr Dogg has embarked, will be powered by the folks at Gala Music, who will provide all of the technology to host the music on the blockchain.
